During the closed beta, levelling your frame and your weapons actually DID something.

While farming for foundry supplies was somewhat worthwhile before, it wasn’t needed, and mods weren’t your only means of building your character. It all comes down to the changes made with Update 7. With this guide, I’ll show you how to maximize your mod earnings per mission, as well as foundry crafting items and how to determine what alerts are really worth your time. With the release of Update 7, and the Steam release, Warframe’s player progression is more reliant than ever on you having a good selection of mods at your disposal.

Using Hunter Track in tandem with Hunter Munitions will increase the base 6-second duration to 7 seconds, allowing for 7 ticks of damage rather than the normal 6 ticks. Slash is affected by status duration mods.As with all Slash procs, their damage only depends on the weapons modded base damage and is therefore not affected by elemental and physical damage mods.As such, headshots, orange and red critical hits will greatly increase the damage dealt. Slash proc damage scales with damage multipliers.Works with Exalted Weapons such as Artemis Bow.On direct hit, AoE weapons can potentially trigger Hunter Munitions twice, once on direct impact and an another on the AoE component.Pure elemental weapons such as Synapse can trigger Slash procs using this mod.Ideal on weapons with high critical chance and low status chance such as the Lenz, in order to help it scale better against armored targets.Hunter Set: Companions gain X% additional damage to targets affected by a Slash status effect. This mod is part of a set, whose set bonus increases with each additional mod equipped from that set. Ghoul Rictus Alpha 11.055% Hemocyte 10.53% Hunter Munitions is a set mod dropped from the Hemocyte during Operation: Plague Star and Ghoul Purge bounties, that grants primary weapons a chance to force a Slash status effect upon a critical hit, alongside any other Status Effect(s), that would have occurred from Status Chance, or a weapon trait.
